The Global Forum on Business and Trade, held this Tuesday, May 24, at Central Christian University, in Orlando, Florida, brought together distinguished entrepreneurs and executives from the tourism and business sectors. Funglode and GFDD organized the event. Former President Leonel Fernández headed the Forum.
ORLANDO, Florida. – During the Global Forum on Business and Trade, organized by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (Funglode), and its sister institution in the United States – the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development – and its New York and Florida branches, distinguished entrepreneurs and executives from the business and tourism sectors analyzed the current trends and strategies needed to further encourage their particular sectors and activities.
The former President of the Dominican Republic and President of Funglode and GFDD, Dr. Leonel Fernández, headed the event held this Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Central Christian University in Orlando, Florida.
The invited panelists presented business opportunities and strategic alliances between the state of Florida and the Dominican Republic. “We promote this strategic Alliance as part of the integration of the Dominican economy to Florida´s economy, from the trade, financial, educational, cultural, technological, environmental and tourism aspects,” highlighted former President Fernández, through his Twitter account.
Andrés Marranzini, Executive Vice President of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (ASONAHORES), moderated the panel that focused on the tourism industry. Panel participants included Abraham Hazoury, founder of CapCana; Bertica Morris, Former President Donald Trump´s Consultant on Hispanic Issues, and Alezzio Mazzanti, Executive Director of LatamIB.
Engineer César Fernández, RD2044 Director, a Funglode initiative, headed the second panel on the agenda. In this particular panel the participants discussed, among other issues, business strategies that could bring together the goals Dominican and Florida companies aspire to reach. Participants included Marlin Hutchins, former National Vice President of Walgreens; Tulio Martí, Consultant for the Dominican Association of Free Trade Zones and Rob Panepinto, President of Florentine Strategies.
