GFDD Strengthens International Presence at FEINDEF 2025, Europe’s Leading Defense Forum

Madrid hosts the International Defense and Security Fair (FEINDEF 2025, for its acronym in spanish) from May 12 to 14, with the Dominican Republic represented by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) and its Center for Security and Defense Studies.

Madrid, Spain – May 12, 2025. The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD), through its Center for Security and Defense Studies (CESEDE, for its acronym in spanish), is representing the Dominican Republic at the International Defense and Security Fair (FEINDEF 2025, for its acronym in spanish), taking place from May 12 to 14 in Madrid.

With more than 600 exhibitors and delegations from over 90 countries, FEINDEF has established itself as the leading event in Europe for strategic dialogue on security, innovation, and international cooperation. The Dominican delegation is composed of Dr. Josefina Reynoso Chicón, director of CESEDE, and Major General (Ret.) Rafael Guillermo Guzmán Fermín.

During their participation, the GFDD delegation is holding bilateral meetings with key actors in the sector, promoting technical and academic collaboration, and positioning the Dominican Republic as an active stakeholder in global security policy analysis and formulation.

The event was inaugurated with the participation of senior Spanish government officials, including Minister of Defense Margarita Robles and representatives from the Spanish National Security Council (CESN, for its acronym in spanish), highlighting the importance of this platform for cooperation between governments, the private sector, and think tanks.
