The Funglode/GFDD 2024 Awards will be presented in the categories of Short Story, Essay, Poetry, and Journalism.
(Santo Domingo, January 8, 2025). The Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (Funglode) and the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (GFDD) announce that the deadline to participate in the Funglode/GFDD 2024 Awards has been extended until January 17, 2025.
The Funglode/GFDD Awards aim to promote the artistic production of the country. In this edition, they will be awarded in the following categories:
· Juan Bosch Short Story Award
· Pedro Francisco Bonó Essay Award
· Pedro Mir Poetry Award
· Rafael Herrera Journalism Award
The final day to submit works for the competition is January 17, 2025, before 4:00 PM. The works must be delivered to Funglode’s offices in Santo Domingo: Funglode Culture Studies Center, Capitán Eugenio de Marchena #26, La Esperilla, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Or to the GFDD office in New York: 780 Third Avenue, 19th floor, New York, NY 10017.
